Pitt police seek to identify suspect in sexual assault near campus

University of Pittsburgh police have issued a crime alert to students in an effort to identify a suspect in a sexual assault near the school.Police said it happened between 12 a.m. and 1 a.m. Saturday in the area of North Dithridge Street.Police said the suspect is a college-aged man of Asian descent. He was described as being five-foot-seven to five-foot-eight inches tall and weighs about 140 LBS.Police said he was wearing a red, Hawaiian-style, button-up shirt with khaki shorts. Police also said the man identified himself as “Beck.” Anyone with information is asked to call Pitt campus police 412-624-2121 or Pittsburgh police at 412-255-2827.
