NY attorney general to make announcement about suing former President Donald Trump

New York’s attorney general is suing former President Donald Trump and his three adult children, alleging business fraud, the Associated Press has reported. New York Attorney General Letitia James is set to make the announcement at an 11:30 a.m. ET press conference. James has been investigating the Trump organization. She has previously said her office uncovered “significant” evidence “indicating that the Trump Organization used fraudulent or misleading asset valuations to obtain a host of economic benefits, including loans, insurance coverage and tax deductions.”Trump has decried the investigation as politically motivated.Last month, Trump showed up for questioning under oath in the state’s civil investigation into his business practices. But he quickly made clear he wouldn’t be answering and invoked the Fifth Amendment’s protection against self-incrimination. CNN contributed to this report.

New York’s attorney general is suing former President Donald Trump and his three adult children, alleging business fraud.

James has been investigating the Trump organization.

Former President Donald Trump has decried the investigation as politically motivated.
