Car, truck involved in crash on Route 66 in Salem Township

One person was flown to a hospital after a crash involving a car and a propane truck in Salem Township, Westmoreland County, on Thursday afternoon.Watch the breaking news report from the crash scene in the video above.The crash on Route 66 near Daisy Lane was reported shortly after 3:30 p.m.Salem Township Fire Chief Mike Perfetta said one person was trapped inside the car after the crash. The person was flown by medical helicopter to the hospital.No information on the patient’s condition was immediately available.The driver of the truck was not injured.Route 66 was closed in both directions while emergency crews remained at the scene.
